Hypertherm 428951 Sync Cartridge Adapter for Duramax Hand or Mechanized Torches

Main Purpose:

Upgrade adapter that converts older Duramax torches to accept the new SmartSYNC cartridge consumable platform

Key Function:

1. Allows Duramax® and Duramax® Lock torches to use SmartSYNC single-piece cartridge consumables
2. Replaces traditional 5-piece consumable stack-up with modern 1/4-turn cartridge system
3. Simplifies consumable ordering, inventory, and installation

How It Works:

1. Adapter screws onto Duramax torch in place of retaining cap
2. SmartSYNC cartridge then twists onto adapter (1/4 turn installation)
3. Adds 17.5 mm (0.69 inches) to consumable length from torch head
4. Lifespan similar to a retaining cap (multiple cartridge changes)
